Mark Freifeld died on July 26, 2014 after a 10 year battle with Multiple System Atrophy. He was 58 years old. You can read his obituary here.
Mark’s career spanned 28 years in the healthcare industry. He owned a management consulting firm serving the business needs of medical providers and started a national executive search practice specializing in the recruitment and placement of healthcare executives.
Mark retired in October 2011 due to the effects of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). His nature was always to confront and overcome obstacles and he treated this particular challenge no differently. It was a long journey and since his diagnosis he published his memoirs and successfully raise research funds for MSA at the Mayo Clinic.
Mark enjoyed a successful business career, athletics, reading, political discussions, playing the banjo, and most of all, laughing and enjoying life with his friends and family.
Our hope is to be part of the solution to make MSA disappear and to no longer be a threat to human beings. Thank you.
